Our Story
Our journey began by needing solutions for scraps and leftover materials from countless home remodeling and DIY projects. Since purchasing our home nearly a decade ago, we have constantly been fixing it up. Slowly remodeling a room at a time as life permits. Various other projects were undertaken during this time as well, ranging from wall decor to small furnishings for the refurbished rooms and other necessities of a growing family. Each project brought with it new learning experiences, expansion of ideas, and different types of materials. We always found it difficult to throw away any unused material, therefore as the number of completed projects grew, so too did the pile of various unused material in our garage. This led to pursuing creative ideas (thanks internet!) to re-purpose items we already had into things we actually needed, such as a hat and coat rack and napkin holder from unused trim. Ultimately we realized there was still plenty of scrap material sitting in the garage and decided to start creating workpeices for others to enjoy.
We both contribute ideas for our creations, but Amber is the compass for style. As a full time stay at home mom, she desired a hobby and took up crafting pieces to decorate our home. These ideas, inspired by the popular rustic farmhouse look, further fueled our desire to create items for others. Having that said, most of our work will have this style!
In 2019, due to inspiration from a friend, Ryan decided to build his own wood router CNC table. The machine consists of parts made on a 3D printer resulting in a what is referred to as a mostly printed CNC, or MPCNC for short. This CNC technology allows endless possibilities and we are excited to see what new creations lie ahead with the ability to custom personalize all of our workpieces.
Through these ventures, we have not only found a way to re-purpose materials but we also found a new love in creating our own decor for others to enjoy. We make many items from big to small but hope to specialize in "accenting" the world around us. Combine this with three dimensional "3D" technology and you get "accent 3D" - thus you have our name, AXNT3D!

Why we do it
Woodworking and more generally creating something from nothing has always been something Ryan greatly enjoys. Fixing up the house and decorating it with handmade pieces has been very gratifying and turned into a true hobby. The passion for handiwork combined with raising a family ultimately resulted in the decision to create AXNT3D, a true hobby business.
Now we are experiencing newfound excitement and joy through our woodworking hobby business. It is very fulfilling adding art to the world through our special creations rather than focusing our time and energy into ways that do not add beauty to the world or truly benefiting our family. We also love exploring new ideas and can not wait to craft something new!
Who we are
We are your typical midwestern small town husband-wife duo with 3 beautiful children to occupy most of our time! An employee of a local engineering office and a prior nurse turned stay at home mom, we desired an entrepreneurial venture that would be flexible with our life and littles, while also showing our children the beauty of creating and building things with your hands. We are honest, hardworking, and desire to create a life outside today's normal standards. We are excited to be on this journey and our zeal for it shows in our work!
